Find Your Voice is a campaign to spread the stories of those around us to promote human connection and celebrate the diversity that unites us. Designed for the Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation at Arizona State University, the Find Your Voice Campaign was utilized this year for the MLK Celebration. It included award-winning stories by elementary students, public servant awardees, and my team, as the 1st place winners in the MLK 2019 campaign competition.
The Mission
Our campaign had a clear objective: to embody the inspiring philosophy and powerful words of Martin Luther King Jr, while also staying true to the mission of Arizona State University. We wanted to create a message that embraced MLK's inclusive values and resonated with every single student and staff member at ASU.
To bring our ideas to life, we collected public personal anecdotes and reflections from a local coffee shop. We then took to the campus, distributing sticky notes and inviting real students to share their experiences of when they felt their voices needed to be heard. The result? Well, it quickly became a part of our shared history, leaving a lasting impact on all of us. The rest is history.
The Result
In our efforts for Find Your Voice, we meticulously crafted and delivered a fully functional website, an engaging e-vite for the event, student awardee bookmarks, impactful t-shirts, as well as a striking large-scale poster and a captivating small-scale poster. Through these endeavors, our message resonated across the campus, serving as a powerful reminder that every individual's voice holds significance, emphasizing the collective importance of each and every one of us.
